The 2015 Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air (BOFA) Film Festival  is hosting a private screening of the film Call Me Dad.

Call Me Dad is a story about men who have perpetrated, or are at risk of perpetrating, family violence.

“At stake is the safety of children and partners, the stability of families, and the power we as a society have to intervene. These men struggle to maintain intimate relationships without resorting to abuse, physical or otherwise. We follow these men over several months, as they attempt to change themselves, and heal fragile bonds with their loved ones."

Event information

The screening is in the form of an Action Session. After viewing the film, an expert panel including the film makers, will discuss it in the context of Tasmania.

The audience will be given the chance to make comments and suggestions.

BOFA is currently seeking partners to support this screening and panel discussion.

Please contact Mr Owen Tilbury, Festival Director, if you or your organisation is interested in being part of the event – by phone on 0407501287 or email at owentilbury@bofa.com.au

Call Me Dad will also be screened on ABC TV later this year.
